Reimagining UC to serve Latinx students equitably
A Blueprint for Becoming a Hispanic-Serving Research Institution (HSRI) System.

Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), which are broadly defined as non-profit postsecondary institutions enrolling a minimum of 25% Latinx undergraduates, currently constitute 19% of all colleges and universities across the United States and Puerto Rico. Historically, most HSIs
have been institutions with open and inclusive admissions policies. Yet, a growing number of research 1 (R1) universities, which are better known for their selective admissions processes and historical underrepresentation of Latinx students, are now meeting the enrollment thresholds for HSI designation. Despite increasing Latinx undergraduate enrollments, Latinx graduate students, faculty, staff and administrative leadership at these institutions remain severely underrepresented. This pattern is concerning given that research 1 universities play a critical role in producing the next generation of researchers and professionals. Recognizing this issue, national efforts involving R1 HSIs are aiming to boost Latinx graduate and faculty representation at these institutions. Yet, it remains uncertain to what extent these R1 HSIs are changing their structures to achieve these objectives, which points to a critical gap in educational research and policy that needs to be addressed.
As the public research university system in the state with the largest Latinx population in the nation, the University of California (UC) is similarly reflecting these broader enrollment trends. UC educates an increasingly diverse student body, including many historically underserved racial minorities and those who are first-generation and from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Much of this diversification at the UC is due to increased enrollment of Latinx undergraduate students. Five of the nine undergraduate campuses now meet HSI eligibility criteria, while
the remaining campuses are on paths to meet the 25%
undergraduate enrollment threshold soon. As these institutions, which were historically predominantly attended by white students, now educate a significantly more racially diverse student population, it is essential to employ culturally responsive and asset-based approaches
in serving this multicultural, multilingual, and first-generation critical mass of students. Substantial efforts are required to transform the entire UC system into a reflection of the state’s population and to establish structures

The things said in this presentation are very ignorant. Chat to people who actually have had long covid and post vaccine injury for a while and you will learn a lot from them. They are the most knowledgeable people on the subject.
I am extremely upset to hear about the use of animal testing in your facilities. Despite the fact that the United States has long established laws that protect animals, guinea pigs, rabbits, farm animals, mice, and even dogs and cats are still forced to endure primitive methods of testing that often end in death. These practices have no place in the modern world. It is the responsibility of your institution to once and for all end support of the cruel industry of animal testing, and start treating all animals in a proper and respectful manner. Thank you.

After having Covid in 2020, I started having irregular heartbeats until now as long Covid-19 symptom, discussed this issue with my family doctor, he said it may relate to my age 6x ?
Inspiring is an understatement! ✨
Awesome!!
My dad (whose name is also Jose Hernandez) told me about this movie and said he met him at the airport. I watched and loved the movie! Very inspirational. I am a UCR employee and a student came to me and said she wants to be an astronaut. I told her she needs to connect with Jose. She met him before and is now going to follow her dreams.
Himachal pradesh(younger range of himalaya) face big problem. . Heavy rain, cloudburst, floods, what is the reason, Hydroproject, mining, blasting, road construction, or it is the effec of climate change. .

Hi. Thanks for the video. I don’t know if you’re reading these comments. But I’m curious to know if there is a way to know that your one time adjustment has occurred. I’m very close to my PSLF threshold (10 payments left) and I’m curious if I’ll have to start paying on my loans for 10 months, or until the one time adjustment happens, to maintain getting my payment count going. Very curious since payments start back up in 1 month. Thanks!
University of California, you'll never believe this! So a recent investigation into tidal phenomena ended with the bizarre conclusion that Planet Earth has two moons! The theory states that high tides actually form due to the moon pulling the Earth’s molten iron (Fe) core, which in turn causes for the seabed to rise. Nevertheless, there are two high tides that occur at the same time on Planet Earth, one at the sublunar point and the other at the sublunar antipode, which means that the two high tides cannot be caused but by two moons. In other words, there would be a night moon, which people can see every night and a day moon, which people can see only during the sun eclipse. If we had a video camera on the sun, we should always see the Earth’s moon in a full moon phase except for the time of the moon eclipse. Nevertheless, it means that during the moon crescent, for example, the sun should shine on the moon right from behind and turn visible in the night time, which is of course, false. In reality, what we perceive as the phases of the moon could be the reflected sunlight from an incandescent, glowing moon. The moon glow would be caused by the moon’s hot, liquid core revolving around the moon axis once in 29.5 days as a result of centrifugal force by report to a given center of gravity in space. The moon glow has the light frequency of bromine (Br) and can be seen only during the moon eclipse. The study further argues that all cosmic bodies interact just like atoms. Gravity wouldn’t be a curvature of space, as Albert Einstein thought, but the effect of chemical macro-bonds. The gravitational pull between the moon and Planet Earth could be summed up as the chemical reaction between the bromine (Br) core of the moon and the iron (Fe) core of Planet Earth. Moreover, the sun could actually be made of xenon (Xe), not helium (He), which can better explain the blue color of the sky. As a matter of fact, xenon (Xe) releases a light frequency colored white with a tint of blue, whereas helium (He) releases a light frequency colored blue-green, yellow or red. It basically means that a helium sun can never cause the rainbow phenomenon (rainbows form only when white light is scattered by water droplets). These finds were backed up by a parallel study, which showed that xenon (Xe) can readily react with both iron (Fe) and nickel (Ni) - the second most abundant element in the Earth’s core after iron (Fe) - yet in no other way but under the pressure and temperature conditions of the Earth’s core. XeFe3 and XeNi3 are readily stable under the conditions of the Earth’s core, which thereby becomes a natural reservoir for depleted xenon (Xe). The said study was conducted by Li Zhu, Hanyu Liu, Chris J. Pickard, Guangtian Zou and Yanming Ma - State Key Laboratory of Superhard Materials, Jilin University, Changchun, China and Department of Physics and Astronomy, University College London. The study that concluded upon the existence of two moons in the Earth’s orbit was conducted by the founder of the Money Religion, Yeshua Trump: https(COLONSLASHSLASH)drive(FULLSTOP)google(FULLSTOP)com(SLASH)file(SLASH)d(SLASH)1(HYPHEN)kU8M(UNDERSCORE)rVsSy5DuRIYhXtvnXJ3nHUUfru(SLASH)view(QUESTIONMARK)usp(EQUALSSIGN)drivesdk (The Money Religion)
